About Near Myth
Sacramento California’s Near Myth covers all the bases with a wide ranging repertoire that includes classic rock and pop tunes, sultry jazz, smokin’ blues and draws from the great American songbook.
Near Myth Band has its own style, born from all their varied influences. You’ll hear their version of hits by Miles Davis, Diana Krall, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, Ray Charles, Carlos Santana, Antonio Carlos Jobim, George Benson, the Allman Brothers and Near Myth originals.
Emmah (guitar and vocals) has been playing music since her days accompanying the church choir as a teenager in New Orleans. She is smoking hot on bluesy ballads and harmonizes beautifully.
Steve (guitar and vocals) has been playing off and on in the Sacramento area for over 40 years, in bands playing jazz, rock, country and originals.
Dave (bass) plays in multiple bands. He keeps the bottom end tight and feet tapping.
Augie (electronic percussion) joined Near Myth in the fall of 2025. He has played in bands for decades here and on the east coast.
